Legend has it that Lily of the Valley sprang from Eve’s tears when she was exiled from the Garden of Eden. On a less biblical note, It’s also my mothers favorite flower, print and scent. I grew up seemingly surrounded by them so it makes sense I’d make a print based on them.

Everyone seems to have a special love for Lily of the Valley, I sometimes wonder why this is. Is it because it’s a favorite of royal brides? Probably. Is it because Queen Victoria, Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton love them? Most certainly. Or, maybe because this delicate, beautiful little flower is said to bring good luck? Yes, yes and yes!
We all love this elegant diminutive flower for its powers to make us feel special, whether you’re the Queen of England or just the Queen of your own house at your desk doing emails in the morning!
